The district head followed the works to turn Khaled Ibn El Walid Street into a pedestrian promenade: encroachments and iron barriers removed, and the street closed to vehicles from the Corniche road to Khalil Hamada Street.
The work included painting the kerbs, pavements and decorative posts, removing the metal awnings over the shops and the decorations hung on the posts, and better cleaning with the Nahdet Misr company.
