The district’s equal opportunities unit and local development information centre, with the National Council for Women and the Civil Status Authority, ran a free national ID card drive for women.
It produced 314 cards: first cards, renewals, and changes of marital status, address and qualification. The district head handed several women their cards in his office at the district headquarters.
