Walid Ali Morsi, the district head, joined a clean-up of the district’s beaches ahead of the summer season, under the “Clean Alexandria Environment” initiative, with the central administration for tourism and resorts, the Environmental Affairs Agency and the social solidarity directorate, the “Khallik Egabi” association and more than 40 volunteers.
They covered Gezirat El Dahab, Beau Rivage, Mahmoud Said and Miami beaches and picked up about 50 kg of plastic waste, and talked to beachgoers about protecting the environment and using less single-use plastic.
