The district held a full medical convoy for the people of Ezbet El Nakhl, in its rural hinterland, with the local development information centre, the public relations department, the Montazah medical area, the equal opportunities unit and the child protection committee, joined by civil society groups.
Doctors saw 125 internal medicine, 110 paediatric, 12 women’s health, 51 family planning, 19 antenatal, 23 diabetes and 23 blood pressure patients, all given medicine free, and the “100 Million Healthy Lives” campaign screened for kidney disease, diabetes, blood pressure and cancer. Talks covered saving water and family planning, and the child protection committee explained its work and how to report a child thought to be at risk.
