Walid Morsi, the district head, spent the day following the pumping and draining of rainwater, to make sure the bad weather was handled quickly and traffic kept moving.
The round covered the General Soliman Ezzat bridge; Mostafa Kamel Street from Carrefour to the International Road; Seif Street in Sidi Bishr Qibli; El Mohamara and Malak Hefny Bahari Street; Malak Hefny Qibli Street; Khaled Ibn El Walid Street and Streets 56 and 57 off it; El Salam Street and Street 16 El Malek (El Eslah) in El Falaki; Ben Salama and Ben Aqil streets in Darbala; the Corniche; and all the underpasses in the district.
He asked for all equipment and emergency teams to be sent to the worst spots, in constant coordination with the sewerage company and Nahdet Misr.
