As soon as a burst water pipe was reported on Galal Hammad Street, off Khaled Ibn El Walid Street, Walid Ali Morsi, the district head, went to the site, where water had pooled and the asphalt was in poor condition.
The water company repaired the pipe and fixed the cause of the leak, the sewerage company pumped away the water, and the roads and transport directorate and the district’s roads department wrote up the shops that had damaged the asphalt, which was then repaired. The district is working with the roads directorate to restore the street fully.
