The district held a full medical convoy for the people of Ezbet El Bakatoshi, in its rural hinterland, with the local development information centre, the public relations department and the Montazah medical area, joined by civil society groups.
Doctors covered internal medicine, paediatrics, family planning, obstetrics and gynaecology, antenatal care and diabetes and blood pressure checks, with free medicine and free fitting of family planning methods, and the “100 Million Healthy Lives” campaign screened for kidney disease, diabetes, blood pressure and cancer.
A representative of the water company gave a talk on saving water, including how to fix small faults at home without calling a plumber.
