Operating a lift for the first time

• A copy of the applicant's ID card
• A copy of a maintenance contract with a company licensed for maintenance
• A copy of the company's valid licence to operate
• A copy of the company's valid registration certificate with the Egyptian Federation for Construction and Building
• A lift fitness certificate approved by the maintenance company
• An insurance policy on the lift for 3 years
• A declaration that the lift attendant is trained in maintenance and operation, and a copy of his ID card
• The owner's declaration
• A copy of the previous lift licence
• Proof of paying the cleaning fee (for companies, public bodies, hotels or hospitals, from the revenue department)
